Zeus Impending

Four letter words
bloom like petals
of invitation,
opening a seed
that denies nothing.

Yet I fear my
imagination,
as it takes hold
our stresses,
once more
puncturing
that rose of
delicate perfection.

Whisper sweet though,

remember time is short,
but intense with forever.


Duplicity?

At once this thought
searched me out, as
I communed with
the fingers of my
Inspiration.
Leather grey hands
worked at forming
fleeting accusations,
backed up only by
the testimony of
my recollections.

Redemption?

Ah, clarity unbidden,
as I scramble for
pieces of broken
Easter egg.
Scrutinising each
section for archaeological
foundation, based
on the vacuum
of my victims heart.

Morality?

A diverse collection
of conflicting
instructions.

Not Really a Love Sonnet

Such was the reason to carry the blame
Lay it beside you and give it a name
Board it all up when the canister blows
Burning the soil where you buried your clothes

That was the reason you took it to heart
Times you accused me of playing a part
Everything comes to a word on the stage
Improvisation instead of the page

Now you are clothed like a martyr in rags
Walking your pain in two carrier bags
Free from the knowledge your gave it your all
Pushing the boundaries, taking the fall

Love is a target when we’re taking aim
Only the foolish would swallow that claim
